Enpol™ is the brand name of a range of plastic products developed by Polyval during several years of dedicated research. Covered by international patents, Enpol™ resin formulations and production methods create a unique range of products. Enpol™ flexible packaging films and solid injection moulded products are suited to a wide range of applications across diverse business sectors from sport and leisure, to construction, healthcare and the high-tech electronics industry.
All Enpol™ products are biodegradable and compostable once dissolved in water. The water solubility characteristics of the products can be engineered to suit the end application, dissolving in the temperature range 2 - 70°C. For example, a unit dose sachet containing a plant nutrient would need to dissolve rapidly on contact with cold water whereas an organic waste recycling bag would require a higher degree of resistance to cold water.
Enpol™ flexible films possess excellent, multi-directional mechanical strength of 2.5 times that of a standard low density polyethylene (LDPE) of an equivalent thickness.
